Just Falafel is located south of Sam Houston Park and the Heritage Society on Dallas Street. Just Falafel is my Downtown Houston go-to for tasty Mediterranean cuisine. I hired Just falafel for a work related meeting and am now a huge fan! If you’re looking for a delicious, healthy alternative for your next corporate catering event or lunch delivery add Just Falafel to your list.
When not confined to my desk under mountains of projects, I like to visit new restaurants on my lunch hour. But there are those times where I simply can’t get away. For those times I rely on caterers and delivery services that offer a variety of fresh, delicious and affordable options, to get me by.
One day while sitting at my desk I stumbled upon Just Falafel. Their images left me salivating at my desk. Images of fried falafels, hummus and pita bowls seemed to dance off the screen of my phone. Not only did the food look delicious is was beautiful. No really. The chef creates art on top of his hummus.
With a name like “Just Falafel” your falafels have to be great, or why else would you make that the name of your restaurant?! Now, I make my own falafels and they are a hit at my house. My homemade falafels are more of a patty though, and a bit more moist than most I’ve come in contact with. Just Falafel offers a more traditional falafel. These perfectly round balls of fried chickpea are made for dipping and easy consumption. I’m proud to say that I can eat six to seven in a sitting.
Lastly, their original and traditional wraps are unmatched. I opted for the traditional falafel wrap that Includes falafel, original hummus, cucumber pickles, cucumber mix, and house tahini sauce. Their house tahini sauce is absolutely delicious! Just Falafel has a over 10+ different sauces to choose from. I’ve tried each and every one of them. I highly suggest the tahini, JF special sauce and their specialty Indian sauce. They’re great when paired with any menu item of your choosing.
