How do you like your grapefruit? Although, this Oven-Baked Grapefruit with Brown Sugar and Mint recipes is oh-so-delicious a nice glass of fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice may also hit that sweet spot! In addition to being my new favorite citrus fruit, I was elated to learn about the health benefits of grapefruit.
I find it so interesting to read about dieting trends and fads. As a person who’s never once been on a diet (to lose weight) reading about the trends from the ’80s and ’90s is quite humorous. Believe it or not, 30 years ago, the two biggest dieting trends were cabbage soup and oven-baked grapefruit. A friend of mine still lives by the cabbage soup diet to this day, and she hates every bite. Although some may consider grapefruit to be some life-altering citrus fruit, to me it’s merely a tasty and healthy snack.

- brown sugar – substitute your favorite sweetener like honey, agave, date, or maple syrup.
- cinnamon
- mint
HOW TO MAKE BROWN SUGAR-BAKED GRAPEFRUIT

- Mix Cinnamon and Brown sugar in a small bowl. Set aside.

- Sprinkle each half with 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
- Transfer the baking dish to your pre-heated oven and bake the grapefruit for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let the grapefruit cool for about 2-3 minutes.
