Houston Press BrewFest is an indoor/outdoor beer-sampling event and festival that will feature over 150+ craft beers, local food trucks and live music. Houston Press Brewfest is for the craft beer bant that just can’t get enough of the local scene. Though the brewfest is set to occur in H-town we also show love by highlighting beers from all over the country! So, in addition to local jams like Buffalo Bayou, Goliad and B-52 Brewing Co. you’ll find a couple Austin sweet spots like 512 Brewing and Independence Brewing co.
While perusing the list I saw two of my top favorite breweries of all time. Coincidentally my favorite beers come from lands far far away. I’m exaggerating but Michigan and Colorado are far from Texas. Back in 2014 I shared my “top 12 beers to drink now”. Founders Brewing Co. make No. 1 on that list. I’ve been hooked since the first sip of their Scotch style ale “Devil Dancer.”
Another favorite craft beer comes from California. I was introduced to Green Flash at the 2015 Woodlands Wine + Food Week. Where I met their Director of Beer Education, Dave Adams. We chatted about about their tropical “Soul Style IPA.” I really hope they have their Dia De Los Serranos for sampling.
