THE SPACE
This airy, turquoise walled diner offers guests an easy and enjoyable experience daily from 6:30 am – 2:00 pm. Counter service and open seating are the two things to note here. My hubby and I scouted out seats before ordering because we wanted a comfy booth for Emory while she rested (unbuckled) in her car seat. There are various sizes of tables to accommodate all parties.
The turquoise colored walls and high-backed booths, stark white table tops and bubble lighting fixtures totally drew us in. Staks Is a really cute, casual and comfy place to enjoy brunch in Memphis.
THE FOOD
There’s something here for everyone. Even if you don’t like pancakes (like my husband) you’ll find items like golden fried brioche dipped, vanilla infused french toast, biscuits & gravy, omelettes, shrimp & grits and breakfast quesadillas. A variety of tasty items are also offered A La Carte like oatmeal, hash browns, eggs and fruit.
Staks is the home of customization and fun. Guests can create their own grilled cheese, build their own omelettes and select from their various choices of flavored bacon! Pair all of this with one (or two) of Staks boozy brunch cocktails for the win.
THE PANCAKES
Did I mention that I love pancakes? I eat them for dinner quite often. Staks serves some of the most delicious options like the chocolate and banana “Elvis Pancakes” that come topped with a peanut butter glaze. Or my favorite, the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, made with creamy ricotta cheese, infused with juice and zest of fresh lemons, blueberry syrup and topped with fresh blueberries and powdered sugar.
You can also “Cook ‘Em Yourself” at Staks. Indulge your inner chef with a carafe of their signature buttermilk batter – pour and grill your own Staks in the center of your table! This is perfect for groups with children.
