It’s hard to believe that Snap Kitchen has been around since 2010 and I am just now visiting..Better late than never is all I can say about that!  They offer a variety of consciously crafted foods made to be enjoyed any place and any time, that are all delicious and nutritious.

Their menu offers a wide selection of meals, snacks, and cold-pressed juices that are made fresh daily, portion controlled, and nutritionally balanced. The display of brightly packaged meals and juices made my lunch choice super difficult. Luckily I was with the expert Claire Siegel, RDN  for Snap Kitchen (@petiteprofesh).

She was so sweet and helpful and walked me through the entire process. I am horrible at making decisions and usually when faced with tough one’s like which cupcake to buy .. I usually just say to hell with it and buy one of each! That is just what I did at Snap Kitchen.

I decided to dine in and walked to the back where the build your own salad bar is located. With so many great choices I looked for the one that contained some of my favorite ingredients like quinoa, avocados and tomatoes..these choices led me straight to The “deconstructed” bison cheeseburger salad and it was FANTASTIC!

I paired my salad with one of their fresh pressed juices for a real treat. The Far East Turmeric Elixir was delicious, flavorful and healthy. Side note: Turmeric helps remedy inflammation so not only are these juices super yummy they make you feel good!

I decided that I should get some of the made to order meals from the refrigerated section so  I could provide a full review. Now, I will say I was skeptical about the whole “pre-packaged” concept but Snap Kitchen removed those fears and silenced those doubts. Every item purchased was tasty and came with a nutrition label outlining all ingredients, calories and heating instructions.

For breakfast I tried the Maple Roasted Banana Oatmeal and it was perfect. The natural sweetness from the roasted bananas and hint of maple really did the trick. When my husband makes oatmeal for us he uses raw brown sugar to sweeten it a little.. we will definitely be incorporating ripe bananas moving forward!

As I was thinking about what else to try my eyes veered to the bright orange containers where I located the Crunchy Coconut Shrimp and Rice..I was nervous that the shrimp would be rubbery and the rice bland.. WRONG! The shrimp had a crunch to it and the rice was the bomb. The best part.. it was only 210 calories. This is the route you should take if you’re meal prepping as everything is portion controlled and filling.

I left with a to-go bag full of tasty items that I have been diving into since my visit and I can’t wait to return for more. The staff is amazing and the food is top notch. Snap Kitchen caters to the masses with their selection of gluten free, sugar free, dairy free, paleo and carb conscious meals. They also have a variety of other “grab and go” items like curried chicken salad, soups and gluten free brownies & cookies..
