Nourished Festival: THE GLUTEN FREE, ALLERGY & SPECIALTY DIET FESTIVAL | Dallas, Texas – Sept. 7 & 8

The Nourished Festival (formerly Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo) is the greatest event on earth for those living a gluten-free, allergen-friendly or specialty diet lifestyle! Traveling to ten cities per year, Nourished Festivals allow attendees to sample and purchase new products, meet brand ambassadors, receive coupons, and attend educational classes. The Festival has five zones to visit: Gluten-Free, Nut-Free, Paleo, Keto & Plant-Based. All products in all zones are gluten free.

I am thrilled to share that I will be covering the Nourished Festival (sponsored by @enjoylifefoods) as a member of their Blogger & Social Team.  The festival takes place September 7th and 8th at Dallas Market Hall, in Dallas, Texas. Moreover, as a member of the festival’s social team I have been gifted free tickets and discount codes to share with you all!

Before getting into the details of this giveaway let me share with you how I initially found out about Nourished and what attendees can expect.

Recently I’ve made a few major modifications to my diet, hence altering my blog content a bit. A few weeks ago one of my Dallas based blogger buddies (@brandisfooddiary) sent me a link to the Nourished Festival via Instagram. She saw it and thought of me, and for that I’m grateful. As I’d never heard of the Nourished Festival, I immediately clicked on the link to learn more. After reading about the festival, and the audience it caters to, I knew my prayers had been answered.

MY STORY |

My daughter suffers from eczema, and it was recently discovered that her triggers are wheat, dairy, eggs and nuts. Because she’s never physically eaten these items, it was determined that she was receiving a bulk of them via my breast milk. That being said, I had to completely alter my diet, cold turkey. I am pleased to share that since removing those items almost a month ago, she hasn’t had any severe flare-ups. Since this diagnosis I have been on a mission to find products that fit into our new lifestyle.

In an effort to maintain this new normal, I’ve started focusing my energy on creating recipes that are free of those allergens. Lately my focus has been on baked goods. I have a major sweet tooth and removing wheat from my diet has probably been the most difficult modification. Breakfast pastries, cookies, cakes and pies are my life, and without them I am nothing. LOL.  Before this diet change I’d never really baked. So you can possibly imagine how foreign vegan and gluten free baking has been for me. My recent attempts at muffins and cookies have been decent. Vegan and gluten free baking is a whole different animal, when compared to regular baking.  The ingredients, ratios and outcomes are VERY, very different.

These nuances have led me down so many rabbit holes. The search for products that create those familiar flavors has been quite the challenge. That is what’s so special about the Nourished Festival. This vendor expo brings all of the allergy-friendly brands I’ve been searching for together under one roof.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE NOURISHED FESTIVAL |

As this will be my first time attending the festival I truly don’t know exactly what to expect, but im optimistic that I will have the opportunity to engage with other bloggers and brands, try new products and make new friends.

GIVEAWAY | my goals for this giveaway

I decided to invest my personal time to promote this festival for a multitude of reasons.

Reason #1 – I really want to engage with moms of children with food allergies. School is back in session and I can only imagine how difficult it is to find products that your children can enjoy during school lunch. The Nourished Festival will introduce you to so many brands that you can research, connect with and safely bring into your home!

Reason #2 – Expanding my reach as a mom and food blogger to other areas outside of Houston is very important to me. Broadening my network is how I actually found out about this festival!!

GIVEAWAY | How to enter?

Sharing this post on your social media would be invaluable to the success of this post. ESPECIALLY if you’re in Dallas. It’s important that people are aware this is happening AND that someone has FREE TICKETS, lol.
