THE FOOD

BurgerFi specializes in Angus beef burgers, hand-cut fries, double-battered onion rings and frozen custard. While waiting at the counter and visually perusing the menu, I couldn’t help but think of this place called eT Craft Burgers. A custom burger bar where you get to pick your fixings. BurgerFi is a lot like that, but their buns contain their logo.

I ordered the BurgerFi Cheeseburger and a “Cry +Fry.” Which is basically french fries topped with onion rings. Oh, the fries were Garlic +Parmesan + Herb and the Parmesan was all melty, not grated like at other places. I didn’t care for the melted cheese because it reminded me of queso, and made my fries limp and soggy. Ordering it on the side may have been wiser. The onion rings were perfect though. Light and airy with a crisp texture. I also would have nixed the “BurgerFi Sauce.” I’ve found that when a burger has a special sauce it usually contains thousand island dressing. Why lawd? Mustard and ketchup are enough, and please let me add that myself!

My meal concluded with one of their craft beers, none of which were from Texas. So I opted for something from Breckenridge Brewery. It was ok. What I will say about BurgerFi is that the Angus beef is delicious and makes the entire place smell great.

Stop by if your in the area and let me know what you think!
