Eddy Patterson, co-founder of Stubb’s Bar-B-Q & Legendary Kitchen teamed up with friend and Austin’s Pizza owner, JD Torian, to create the Austin’s Pizza frozen line. Austin’s Pizza made it’s debut at local HEB stores across Austin, San Antonio, Houston and San Marcos recently and I think it’s capable of beating out my current frozen pizza fave, DiGiorno.

Austin’s Pizza’s Frozen line has a few different options to choose from, all of which I have eaten, and approved. My favorite was the Brazos because I love a spicy pizza! I even added red pepper flakes and a drizzle of Sriracha for more heat.

Brazos – Canadian bacon, pepperoni, onions, green peppers, jalapenos and feta cheese

Downtown Special – pepperoni, sausage, black olives and mushrooms

Mopac – Canadian bacon, pepperoni, sausage, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms and olives.

The one thing that sets Austin’s Pizza a part form other frozen pizza is the crispy, crunchy crust. I love a slightly thin crust, because for whatever reason I feel less “carb guilt,” if that’s a thing. If not, it is now!
