Baked Meat Pies {gluten-free}

These delicious, baked, gluten-free meats pies made with beef, carrots, peas, and corn are the perfect weeknight treat.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ lb Ground beef cooked
  • 1 bag frozen mixed vegetables
  • 2 tsp cumin 
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp Italian seasoning or oregano
  • 1 tbsp Plant-based butter
  • 1 package  gluten-free pizza dough

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°. Line rimmed baking sheet with foil.

Prepare the Filling

  • Heat 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook beef in a large skillet for 8 minutes or until no longer pink.
  • Season with salt and pepper
  • Drain meat and return to skillet
  • Prepare frozen veggies per instructions on the back of the package.
  • Add veggies to meat and season with spice mixture. Set aside

Prepare the Dough

  • Dust your counter with flour and roll out the room temperature dough until it's just under a 1/4 inch thick.
  • Use a 4 inch biscuit cutter (or a lid of a jar) to cut the dough into rounds.
  • Lightly brush the outer edges of each round with melted plant-based butter.
  • Place 1 to 2 teaspoons of the filling in the center of each round.
  • Fold the circle over the filling to make a half circle.
  • Brush the exterior of the pie with remaining melted butter. Sprinkle with pink Himalayan sea salt (if preferred).
  • Transfer the pies to the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes or until pies are golden brown.
